Firearms, or the 21st Century way of protecting ourselves, has been under attack since the first accidential shooting.
Within the US Constitution lies a phrase: inaliable rights, and these are defined as certain universal rights cannot be taken away by any legislation, as they are beyond the control of a government, being naturally given to every individual at birth, and that these rights are retained throughout life.
Currently, 21 states within our Union hold that the right to self defense is an inaliable right:
All men … have certain inalienable rights — among which are those of enjoying and defending life and liberty, [and] acquiring, possessing and protecting property.http://www.trolp.org/main_pgs/issues/v11n2/Volokh.pdf
All in all, we have the right to defend ourselves, our loved ones, our property, and should the need arise, our nation.
Recent random shootings demonstrate the need for the common citizen to carry a weapon at all times, in accordance with local and state laws.
Guns are not the issue. The shooter is the problem. If there were no firearms, then a rope, a knife, or a hammer would be used.
What can you do about it?
Purchase a weapon.
- Learn how to safely use it.
- Learn how to safely store your weapon.
- Practice often.
- Carry as frequently as you can.
If you aren’t armed and a shooting starts you are no longer a first responder. You probably will be a victim.
Are you a victim? Then carry.
