Today the 107th and 79th had a gear training day at Priority One Surplus in Hamburg, PA.
Here are some pictures of some of their products.
When when considering gear it is important to remember three things:
- Look for DOD markings so that you know you are getting some of the best quality in the world.
- Develop a list that includes must have, nice to have, already have. In doing so you can set your goals and purchasing and making sure you don’t buy something that you don’t need.
- Avoid things that appear to be cheap. If you have the choice between something plastic or something metal then go with something metal. It will last longer.
Training next month will consist of an evacuation exercise. If you’re not training I hope you’re learning.
